Series 9 of Doc Martin has begun filming in and around Port Isaac in the North of Cornwall,
and every so often I hope to head on down there to have a little look to see what is going on.
Below will hopefully be some photos and videos of my days out in Port Isaac, enjoy.

Port Isaac, that's a wrap!
Today saw the final day of filming for series 9 of Doc Martin taking place in the heart of Port Isaac. The final scenes were
shot at the old school and the Golden Lion pub.
Some of the actors and actresses on hand for the final day of filming included:
- Martin Clunes (who plays Dr Martin Ellingham).
- Caroline Catz (who plays Louisa Ellingham).
- John Marquez (who plays PC Joe Penhale).
- Jessica Ransom (who plays Morwenna Newcross).
- Joe Absolom (who plays Al Large).
- Ian McNeice (who plays Bert Large).

The Golden Lion pub, Doc Martin's house, Port Isaac!
Martin Clunes (who plays Dr Martin Ellingham) was in Port Isaac today filming scenes at the Doc Martin Surgery, and the Golden Lion Pub.

The Golden Lion pub, Port Isaac!
Today filming mostly took place at the Golden Lion pub in Port Isaac - known as The Crab & Lobster pub in Portwenn. Interestingly, a
"for sale / sold" estate agents sign appears on the pub, branded as "Portwenn Estate Agents"! Who could possibly be the new owner
of the Crab & Lobster in Portwenn? Al Large & Morwenna Newcross? Bert and Al back in business togethe again? Wait and see ...
Some of the actors and actresses on hand today included:
- Joe Absolom (who plays Al Large).
- John Marquez (who plays PC Joe Penhale).
Thursday 9th & Friday 10th May 2019
Life Boat House, Harbour, Fore Street, Port Isaac!
After Wednesday's dreadful weather slowed down filming, Thursday and Friday saw the film crew return to Port Isaac.
Thursday saw filming along Fore Street, where takes included the use of the Life Boat House, and an ambulance and paramedic crew.
Friday saw more filming along Fore Street and inside the Golden Lion pub, which was closed to customers for the day.

- Selina Cadell (who plays Mrs Sally Tishell).
- John Marquez (who plays PC Joe Penhale).
- Ian McNeice (who plays Bert Large).

Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro!
Martin Clunes was seen filming within the vicinity of the
Royal Cornwall Hospital
in Truro today.
Monday 29th & Tuesday 30th April 2019
The Slipway & The Portwenn Pharmacy, Church Hill, Port Isaac!
More filming on Monday and Tuesday, this time at the Portwenn Pharmacy (the Buttermilk Shop) and The Slipway Resturant.
Some of the actors and actresses on hand over the two days included:
- Martin Clunes (who plays Dr Martin Ellingham).
- Caroline Catz (who plays Louisa Ellingham).
- Selina Cadell (who plays Mrs Sally Tishell).
- Eileen Atkins (Dr Ruth Ellingham).

Tuesday 16th & Wednesday 17th April 2019
Dolphin Street, Port Isaac!
Filming continued in Port Isaac along Dolphin Street, which is the location of the property that "Aunt Ruth" lives in.

Today filming took place in Port Isaac, including at the school on Fore Street.

Today filming took place in Port Isaac, including outside Doc Martin's surgery (Fern Cottage) on Roscarrock Hill.

The Doc and Louisa filming in Port Isaac!
Today filming once again took place in the heart of Port Isaac, for scenes by the school.

Friday 5th April 2019
Filming took place at "The Lizard", south of Cornwall!
Today filming took place further South of Cornwall, in an area call "The Lizard", which is along the Southern coast of
Cornwall, South of Helston.

Filming apparently canceled due to the weather!
Today filming was put on hold due to poor weather.
Monday 1st April 2019
Multiple cast members turnout for filming in Port Isaac!
Today filming took place in Port Isaac, including at Doc Martin's surgery (Fern Cottage) on Roscarrock Hill.
The drone camera was also spotted, which is used for far away shots that the regular cameras can't access, such as shots
along the coast line.
