Weapons in Vice City
Vice City is flooded with all types of weapons, from a simple
baseball bat up to a Rocket Launcher.
You can collect weapons in a number of ways. You can either go and
collect them from particular locations within the game where you will find
weapons just lying around, you can buy them from the local gun chain,
Ammu-nation,
or you can collect them from gang members and policemen you kill or who are
killed by others.
Each weapon belongs in a set of weapons. You can tell which weapons
are part of the same group by the colour they are spinning in. For example,
an Uzi 9mm spins in yellow, and so does the MP5. You can only have one type
of weapon from each section at a time. If you already have a weapon from
a group, and try to pick up another, that will take the place of the old one.
Also remember, the bigger guns will weigh you down and cause you to
run slower and maybe even prevent you from jumping when you are armed with
them.
You should note, that not all of the weapons are in their position until
later in the game, such as some of the weapons in your mansion.
Use the 'Left' and 'Right' links above to display the locations
of any weapons lying around in Vice City. Once you collect a weapon,
it will re-appear if you move far enough away from its location.
